Eyeliner 101

From left to right, Loreal super liner Blackbuster, Collection fast stroke, Maybelline eyestudio, Avon super shock and Rimmel scandal eyes.

Long gone are the days when the only eyeliner I used was a pencil from MUA. Eyeliner can be a really tough think to get right so today I thought I would talk you through some of the options.

The Felt Tip.

L'oreal super liner Blackbuster - £6.99 //Here//

This is a seriously huge pen, for eyeliner newbies this is probably far to big but all of the L'oreal felt tip liners are very similar in formula. I find personally that felt tips are the easiest to work with as they dry straight away and you can get lots of control with them. You can also get really close to the lash line and are pretty much guaranteed a  nice smooth line.

The Liquid.

My personal favourite has to be liquid, I personally find it easier to do the cat eye with a liquid liner. This method does take a little more practice than the felt tip. That being said once you've got it you tend to get good results. The collection liner is definitely my favourite eyeliner ever as it is just so long lasting and black.

The Gel.

Gel eyeliner is something I'm on the fence about, sometimes I love it and others it ends up halfway down my face and all the way up to my eyebrows. In terms of how easy it is to apply it really is all about the brush you use. I like to apply it with and angled brush as I find for we it works best.

The Pencil.

The only time I ever really use eyeliner in a pencil form is on my tightline and now and again on my waterline. I have tried and tried to get it to work for me on my upper lash line but I can never seem to get it right. In my opinion if your just starting out with eyeliner practice this one as it's a tough one.

I really hope you enjoyed this post.
