This week... #6

I've had a pretty dull week this week but the weekend definitely made up for it.

I had to hand my passport into school on monday for my upcoming trip to Germany!
The rest of the photo's are from the music festival I volunteered at this weekend. My lovely auntie organised it and I had the most amazing weekend.

And to finish here's a cheeky little selfie with my amazing mum!

Nail magic - Wet high gloss top coat.

I am rubbish with nail polishes, I never use a base or topcoat but since receiving this I haven't left my nail un top coated (Nice one cole that makes loads of sense). The Nail Magic - Wet high gloss topcoat* leaves the most beautiful glossy finish on the nails and makes nail polishes wear for double the time. The only tiny problem I have with this is the fact it takes quite a while to dry there is a couple of times I've been to bed after nail painting and woken up with duvet marks in my polish (They are literally the most annoying thing ever!) The formula is very liquidy and it can drip of the brush if there is too much on it so you need to be careful your brush isn't overloaded.

Overall I'm super impressed with this, if you're in the market for a new top coat give this one a go.

Makeup revolution - Eyeshadow swatches and Review

I feel like I'm so far behind the bandwagon with this brand. These eyeshadows are the only things from the brand I've tried but I've been super impressed. The pigment is amazing, they are buttery and blend like a dream and they're only £1.00 each. Packaging wise it's not great but for me it definitely beats MUA it's a little bit sturdier and clasp is a bit more reliable. It's not the prettiest but it is very practical and does the job it needs to.

So let's get into a little more detail of the colours and variations in formula.

Touch me - Matte
This is the first of the two matte colours I picked up it's a fairly basics off white shade which I picked up as I think you can tell a lot about a brand by picking up there more basic colours. This one is a little chalky but nothing that isn't expected from a matte shadow. It makes a brilliant base and highlight colour.

I need you - Pearl
This shade is a gorgeous reddy chocolaty brown with lots of tiny weeny shimmer. This one is probably one of the creamiest of the bunch. This one makes a gorgeous crease colour and pairs beautifully with champagne shades.

Hung up - Matte
Out of the seven this one is most definitely my favourite, it is the other matte shade and I find it to be a little less chalky than Touch me. I don't even know how to describe this colour. It's a mix of purple, pink and taupe. It looks stunning all over the lid with a deep purple in the crease or in the crease of a shimmery pink.

Insomnia - Pearl
I'm not 100% sure why I picked this one up as I don't really wear purple on my eyes but I've actually fallen for it. I love it in the crease when I use hung up mixed with some black to create a beautiful purple smokey eye. This one needs a little more building up than some of the other shades but it really is worth it as it looks stunning.

Good life - Pearl
This comes a very close second favourite to hung up. it's such a strange shade. In the pan it looks very lilac, when it's swatched on my finger it looks very silver and then on my hand/arm and my eyes it looks very pink. This one is the most pigmented of the seven the swatch below is one swipe. If you're looking for something a little different then this is the one.

I want U - Pearl
I'm not sure how much use I will get out of this one as it isn't the easiest colour to work with, it's a very bright shimmery gold. I like this all over the lid as it really makes my blue eyes pop but it can sometimes also make my blue under eye circles pop (which may I add is definitely not a good look) Again the pigment is wonderful and it's super creamy.

Eden - Pearl
In all honesty I have no idea what I'm going to do with this one but it was only a pound and it's such a pretty colour. If you lovely readers have any ideas of what I can do with it, they would be greatly appreciated. This one is the same kind of pigment as insomnia and needs a little bit of building up.

Nanshy The masterful collection

Nanshy Masterful collection blending brush*  //Here//

Nanshy's Masterful collection is coming, a super sleek makeup brush set for face eyes and lips with the choice of black or white handles what more could a gal want. The brushes in this collection are all vegan and cruelty free. So the lovely people at nanshy sent me over one of the brushes from the collection to try, here's what I thought.

I have never tried any of the Nanshy brushes before this one and I'm super impressed. The quality is second to none and even though I was sent the mini version the handle is still very sturdy. The brush feels very well made and the bristles are lovely and soft. So far I've used this for both eyeshadow and concealer and it worked really well for both. It washes really well and there was no shedding at all, even on the first wash!

I'm not 100% sure when these launch but you can find lots more information //Here//

The autumnal lip colour forecast.

From left to right - Rimmel 107 - Seventeen Deep secret - Collection Revenge - Rimmel Glam plum Fulham - Mac Rebel - Revlon Shanghai sizzle

If you follow me on twitter (Which you totally should i'm great!) you will probably be aware of my huge amount of excitement for autumn. I just love everything about it so today I thought I would show you my little lipstick forecast for the next couple of months.

Rimmel Lasting finish by Kate - 107 - £5.49

I wore this one pretty much all autumn and winter last year. I love the matte finish and the Lasting power is just amazing. The colour is the most red toned of all the vampy purples I have.

Seventeen supreme shine - Deep secret - £4.99

This one is the sheerest of the bunch, in no way is it sheer but it's the one that needs the most building out of the bunch. This one is really shiny and glossy, the finish is stunning. Overall I'd have to say this one is not my most reached for as the colour can sometimes look a little too brown. But I love the formula and when the colour works it looks amazing.

Collection Gothic glam lipstick - Revenge - £2.99

This is the darkest shade I'm talking about today, it looks so stunning with pale skin. A blackened berry shade, it's the most perfect for people who aren't scared of making a statement. The formula of this one is really moisturizing which does tend to make it slip around a little but nothing that can't stopped by a lip liner.

Rimmel Moisture renew lipstick - Glam plum Fulham - £6.49

I think this may be my favourite out of the bunch. A beautiful purple berry it's a lot more red than mac Rebel. The formula of this one is stunning it's so moisturizing (as the name suggests) but surprisingly it lasts for hours and hours. I went out with this one on yesterday and it wore for about 6 hours before it started looking like it needed a top up.

Mac Satin lipstick - Rebel - £15.50

Probably the most hyped about berry shade in the blogosphere, I adore this one as it looks so different on everyone. On me it's very pink whereas on my cousin it looks a lot darker. This can be a little drying sometimes so I find that a little lip balm is needed although once it's on it's not going anywhere.

Revlon Moisture stain - Shanghai sizzle - £7.99

If you read my review of this //Here// you will be aware that I just can't make my mind up about the formula of these but never the less I've thrown it in the mix because the colour is just so beautiful. Some people may think it's a little summery being an orange toned red but I've actually been using it more over red lipsticks just to add a little bit of gloss.

Revlon Moisture stains

Revlon colourstay moisture stains £7.99

As per I'm incredibly late on the band wagon with these! In all honesty I'm still not 100% sure if I like these or not. The colour is beautiful I have the shade Shanghai sizzle which is a gorgeous Orange-y deep red. It's a colour I've never really seen before. It's the texture I'm not sure about, they are a little sticky but I can get past that. They smell awful, like a mix of alcohol and lots of nasty chemicals. These weren't what I expected, I thought they would be a little like the Rimmel apocalips.

I don't find this product to be particularly long lasting but it is very moisturizing on the lips (even my horrible dry ones) I also quite like putting it over the top of a red lipstick to give it some gloss. Overall these are very pretty but I don't think I will buy anymore in the near future as the smell is just awful and I'm still a little undecided on the texture!

Let me know how you got on with these!

Sweet treats - Apple, Cinnamon and Ginger muffins

Now these are by no account the prettiest things I've ever baked but they were super delicious and fairly simple.

Makes 12.
You will need...

115G Flour
115G Butter
115G Sugar
2 Eggs
2 Medium sized cooking apples (Peeled and chopped into small pieces)
1 1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1 1/2 Tsp Ginger

For the icing

200G Icing sugar
4-5 Tbsp water (You may need more this is just a rough guide)
1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Ginger

Step 1 ..

Put the sugar and butter into a bowl and cream together until light and fluffy.

Step 2 ..

Add the eggs into the butter and sugar adding a tbsp of flour to stop the mixture from curdling.

Step 3 ..

Sieve in the flour and spices and fold into the liquid mixture with a metal spoon.

Step 4 ..

Coat the apple in a dusting of flour so that they don't drop to the bottom of the muffins and fold evenly into the mixture.

Step 5 ..

Fill the muffin cases and put into a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees celsius or Gas mark 6 for 15 to 20 minutes. Once baked remove from the oven and leave to cool for an hour or two.

Step 6 ..

Make the icing by the packet instructions and add the spices. Spread over the cakes.

Step 7 ..

Enjoy!

I really apologise for the single photo but by the time I realised all the others were blurry they were long gone!

Guest post - Setting up a business from home

Hi lovelies, today I have a guest post from the lovely lisa. Who doesn't currently have a blog but if you think she should start one let me know! Today lisa is going to be talking about starting her own business from home! I hope you all enjoy!

Hi!

My name is Lisa. Before I found Forever, I was a full time mum of 3 after resigning from my job as a Social Care officer, due to childcare costing 70% of my salary. I was looking for something to fit around my family commitments.
My friend had said she had just started her own business distributing forever products and building a team and asked if I would like to see some information on how I could do the same.
After seeing all the information I was very interested in the opportunity and signed up for it immediately.
I have been running my business for just over a month now and I'm already feeling the benefits. I can choose my own days/hours. I know that if I put the work into my business that I will reach my goals quite quickly. The training and support I've received so far has been so important to how I run my business and market it correctly. I haven't just been left to it. It's amazing!
I'm determined to be earning as much, if not, more than I was earning in my previous employment by early next year.
The possibilities are endless with great incentives. Singapore holidays, car plans, bonus cheques..... I'm aiming big.

If you're interested in becoming a part of my dedicated team, craving a good work:life balance. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

Mac Lipstick collection

To some people my collection of mac lipsticks will be super small but to others owning four will be excessive. I'm really happy with all the shades in my collection so today I though I would share them with you!

Creme Cup -
I think this has to be one of the most hyped lipstick in the blogging world. A beautiful pinky nude with a sheeny finish, sometimes I find this one can be a little pale for me. The cremesheen formula means it has to built up but once the colour is there it looks beautiful. This one lasts about 3 hours before a reapplication is needed although it fades nice and evenly.

Brick-O-La -
I never hear anyone talk about this shade but it's just perfect for autumn, the deep terracotta shade works beautifully with pale skins and golden eye shades to create a very autumnal look. This shade is an amplified finish therefore it is very glossy, creamy and is super pigmented. I find this one lasts about 5 hours but it does tend to settle around the outside of the lips as it fades.

Up the amp -
I've honestly never seen a shade like this it is so beautiful. a very pinky purple it looks amazing in the summer. Again it is an amplified finish. I find this one to last for about 4 hours but I find it fades more evenly than Brick-O-La. This isn't one for the faint hearted but I highly suggest it if you are into bright lip colours.

Rebel -
My final Mac lipstick is another super hyped shade. I love this one for the autumn as it's the perfect mix of pink and purple creating a super gorgeous berry colour. The finish of this one is a satin which I find for me personally can be a little drying on the lips. As long as I pop some lip balm on it's fine. This one is definitely the worst out of the four for fading unevenly but with such a dark colour it's expected.

I really hope you enjoyed this post!

I'd love for you to let me know what your favourite Mac lipstick are?

The Hand cream edit.

I am a little bit of a hand cream obsessive, I have at least one sometimes two in my bag and they are dotted about all over the house. So today I thought I would show you some of my favourites.

The best for daytime -
This one definitely has to go to the Flomar Mango hand cream, this one sinks into the hands really quickly. It isn't super hydrating but it's enough for the day time. I find this one just leaves my hands a little softer.

The best smelling -
Hands down the Possibility Raspberry pavlova is the best smelling hand cream ever it's sweet and fruity and I love the fact that it has a recipe for pavlova on the front! This one is definitely one for people who have fairly normal skin on there hands as it isn't that moisturizing.

The best for night time -
The Body shop hemp hand protector is hands down the best hand cream I've ever tried. It's super thick and feels like it coats the hands in a protective barrier. Due to it's thick consistency it does leave lots of residue so it's definitely one for just before bed.

The best treatment -
This ones a little bit of a cheat as the Climb on skin repair cream isn't really a hand cream as such. This stuff is amazing, I get eczema on my hands and they crack and get super sore so this is a life saver. It knits together the cracks and heals the patches in about 4 days which is amazing as it can take a good 3 weeks for the patches to clear up on their own. This stuff is really oily so I only use this just before I go to bed.

I can't say I've ever swatched hand cream before but hey there is a first time for everything!

The empties #1

I never used to like empties posts but I've come to the conclusion I just don't like empties posts with 30 products in them.

Garnier Ultimate Blends The sleek restorer shampoo.
Repurchase - Yes

I really liked this, it didn't weigh my hair down and it makes it feel really clean. It smells really good to which is always a bonus! I found this really helped calm how frizzy my hair is and has just made it look smoother in general!

The Body shop Vanilla bliss shower gel.
Repurchase - Maybe

This is one of the body shop christmas scents. I really like it but I actually prefer the cranberry one. I love the body shop shower gels as they lather up really nicely and feel nice and moisturizing on the skin.

Lush Sweetie pie shower jelly.
Repurchase - When I next go anywhere with a lush store

I love this stuff it smells amazing and it's just so much fun! I also like the fact it's sparkly. Again like the body shop one it's nice and moisturizing on the skin.

Seventeen Stay time concealer.
Repurchase - Yes Yes Yes!

I love this stuff it's my current concealer it covers everything really nicely and looks flawless on the skin. I can use this both under my eyes and on blemishes!

Extra gentle eye makeup remover.
Repurchase - No

I really wasn't a big fan of this I only tend to use a liquid remover like this if I'm wearing a heavy eye so I like to get rid of some of it before cleansing. I just found this didn't really do much it just wiped the makeup around my face. I ended up using it to take swatches of my hands and it wasn't even great at that!

I'd love to know you opinions on empties posts.
Do you love them or do you hate them?

Bella and bear eyelash curlers.

Bella and bear eyelash curlers £12.99* //Here//

Eyelash curlers are something I used to be so terrified of but I now use on a daily basis. I was super impressed with these they are really sturdy and I reckon they would face a full bashed about makeup bag with no problems. I find sometimes the handles on eyelash curlers can be to small for my ridiculously large sausage fingers! But these are really nice. I also like that the plastic on the handles make then a little comfier to hold. As for the actual lash curling these are the only curlers I've ever found that can get all of my lashes in one go as not only do I have abnormally large fingers I have eyes to match. So if you have little eyes you may have to be a little more careful. These curl the lashes nicely and I've found that my lashes keep the hold well throughout the day.

Overall I'm super impressed with these lash curlers although I'm not sure I would recommend them to someone with small eyes!
