Whats in my travel makeup bag Autumn edition
Aloha!
So I'm currently on holiday at a haven park with my family, therefore I thought I'd show you what I took in my makeup bag. Some of you may think that this is a ridiculous amount but with us not going abroad I can take as much as I wan't to. Also I've started a little project called the #bigblogmasproject and I'd love you guys to get involved, there will be a post up with more details in the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled.
So base wise I've stuck to what I like to use on a daily basis, so for my first product I have the Seventeen bb cream in light. If your a regular reader f my blog you will more than likely know how much I love this stuff. Next up I have my Maybelline fit me concealer in 15, if you don't like collection lasting perfection I'd highly recommend this one. Next I have another concealer which I have been trying out, my friend Theresa bought me the Catrice camouflage cream in 020 light beige over from Germany and so far so good. Next up is the Collection pressed powder in 18 ivory, i'd say this was probably my favourite face powder as it's so finely milled. Finally for base I have the two newest blushers to my collection, the first is the Topshop cream blush in flush which I reviewed Here I really like this and its so easy to work with. The second and final blush I have is the Rimmel stay blushed liquid cheek tint in pop of pink, this one isn't as easy to work with but I love the colour it leaves so I'm willing to work with it!
Eye wise I've got my holy grail liquid eyeliner which is Collection fast stroke in black and my holy grail pencil eyeliner Avon super shock in black. Next up I have two of the essence bits that Theresa bought me, the Essence I love extreme volume mascara has become a firm favourite of mine and the Essence colour arts eye base is really nice. Finally I have probably my two favourite palettes at the moment, the first is the Urban decay naked basics palette which is amazing quality and incredibly versatile I reviewed it Here and the second is something I haven't really shut up about this month and its the Sleek vintage romance palette so I don't to go on about how much I love this for the 54999999th time I reviewed it Here.
I think I may have gone a little OTT with lipsticks considering I will probably only wear 2 or 3 but a girl needs options! So first of I have Rimmel Moisture renew in 470 Glam plum fulham, I love this it's so moisturizing and just generally enjoyable to wear. Next I have the Collection gothic glam in 3 revenge, this one is a little more drying than the Rimmel one but it's the most gorgeous deep red/purple. Then I have the only neutral that I'm taking and its Mac creme cup, this is just the perfect nudey pink colour. Then for this row I have the P2 sheer glam lipstick in 090 sex and the city, this is one of the more toned down colours in taking with me it is a gorgeous sheer berry colour.
For my final set of lipsticks I have Lacura beauty classic red, which has the perfect blend of pigmentation and staying power and has the very perfect price of only £1.99. Then I have Seventeen supreme shine in Deep secret, this is very similar to Glam plum fulham but it is a little darker and a little more vampy. Then I have the blogger favourite Rimmel kate moss in 107, I've only worn this one once so far but I really really love it and it lasts for hours! The last makeup product in my bag is the Seventeen lip crayon in Heartbreaker which is another toned down berry but this one leans slightly towards a terracotta.
So that's it!
Do you guys take this many lipsticks away or is it just me?

Brand interview #3 - The button parlour
Hello lovelies,
Today I'm going to be interviewing the lovely girl who runs The button parlour and hand makes some gorgeous button and cord bracelets. Here's what she had to say...
Well I sell handmade bracelets that are generally made using coconut wood buttons with some detail carved onto them, and the bracelet itself is made using a coloured cord. Most of the bracelets are made using buttons with anchors carved onto them, however there are a few different ones just so it's not all the same! I only set up a couple of months ago. Well I started making them in July and this is when I set up my Etsy shop, but I have only recently joined Twitter and Facebook to try and promote the bracelets a little more.
And onto the questions
Why did you set up The button parlour?
I set up The Button Parlour as I couldn't find anything else like these. I'm very particular about a lot of things and I tend to know exactly what I want, I can always picture things in my head but always struggle to find them! I'd made one of these bracelets already for myself and wore it everyday for weeks and absolutely loved it so I thought why not give it a try!
Where did you get the idea to set up The button parlour?
I don't know how I got the idea for The Button Parlour really. I wasn't looking to try and start a business as such, I just made one for myself one day and then my friends liked them and all wanted me to make them some, and I thought actually these are pretty cool. I've always struggled to find jewellery that I like as I'm not really into the big fashion pieces. I like more understated unusual pieces that are easy to wear and I love how something as simple as a button and some cord can be turned into exactly that.
Is there anyone you couldn't have set up your business without?
I wouldn't say there is anyone I couldn't have started the business without, although mentality wise I don't think I'd have taken it so far without my partner. He's been really supportive and encouraged me to carry on with it and not give up! Which has definitely been a great help so yeah, I have a lot to be thankful for.
What's your favourite thing you are currently selling?
My favourite thing I am currently selling is probably either the nude/beige anchor button bracelet or the black anchor button bracelet. They're both so easy to wear with anything and you aren't limited to colours, and I love the anchor design.
When creating your bracelets were do you look for inspiration?
My inspiration just comes from the things I love really. I don't see the point in making a bracelet that I don't really like or wouldn't wear myself, as I'd never feel happy selling it. I love the whole nautical thing and thought the anchor buttons were quite cool so by using different coloured cords to make them there should hopefully be a colour to suit everyone. I'm always looking out for new ideas online so if I find a button I like no doubt you'll see it on a bracelet in the near future.

Vaseline paint the town red - Review and swatches
To be 100% honest with you I'm a little annoyed I paid £3.49 for this I got a little excited at the till and I didn't even look at the price I just threw it in my basket. Don't get me wrong I like it I just don't think its worth £1.50 more than the normal tins of vaseline.
Overall I quite like this but I don't think it's that much different to any of the other vaseline's.
Have you tried this?
Do you have either of the other limited edition vaseline's?

Top 5 -- Autumn/winter nail polishes.
Now I tried this with the magnet once and it went so horribly wrong I never attempted it ever again. That being said I love the colour its quite a dark metallic lilac and it's great to reach for when you want something purple but not to vampy. Wear wise I can get two or three days out of this before it starts to look tatty.
I said it in my post and I will say it again now, I love a good nude this ones just right for my skintone it is very light so I don't think it would suit everyone. I also love the creme finish of it. It's perfect! The only down side is the wear it doesn't chip to much but because it's so light it just seems to attract dirt and it ends up looking quite grubby unless you've done nothing all day.
I have no idea how much this cost as Theresa (my German friend) sent it me for my birthday and I love it. It's a very pinky dark red with a nice subtle gloss to it. For such a dark colour I don't expect much, but this ones wear time is pretty good it is again around the two to three day mark.
4. Barry M Black multi glitter £2.99
I love this it reminds me of a really clear nights sky, it's a base of black with the finest milled silver glitter I've ever seen. The wear on this is really good, I get about four to five days out of it.
Leaving the best till last this is one of the most beautiful polishes ever, it reminds me of autumn leaves and pumpkins and its just so autumnal. Wear time on this is about two to three days. I just wish it wasn't a limited edition one, the link is for one on ebay.
So that's it I hope you enjoyed this post
A whole lot of empties.
So I decided that a monthly empties was getting very boring as it was just the essentials so I though i'd save them up for a little while and hopefully show you something a little more interesting!
Batiste - A hint of colour vibrant and red -
This stuff is fab, I can't use normal batiste as it just leaves a white residue in my hair so this is perfect.
Garnier - Mineral invisi calm after shaving deodorant -
There's not much to say this it smelt nice and did what it was meant to do.
Tesco - Nail polish remover -
I think I've probably used about 3 of these during the time I've been collecting my empties. I really don't know what to say it's just a nail polish remover.
Superdrug - Cleanser and toner -
If your a regular reader you will know I love this stuff, I find it really helps clear up my spots although it is very harsh so I'd avoid it if you have sensitive skin.
Seventeen - Wild curls mascara -
Again if your a regular reader you will know that this was for my favourite mascara for a good 3 or 4 months. I still really like it I just have ones I like more.
Hair
Garnier fructis - colour last shampoo -
This was nice it smelt pretty good but it didn't really do anything to my hair.
Tresemme - colour protection shampoo -
I really like this I find it keeps my red a little brighter and a little shinier.
DGJ - Berutti oil -
I won this in a giveaway and I really liked it my hair felt in better condition and it also smelt fab.
Creightons - Deep moisture conditioner -
This was less than a pound from home bargains and I quite liked it, it was nothing special but it made my hair feel nice and soft.
Body
The body shop - Raspberry body butter -
I love the body butters from the body shop, this isn't one of my favourite scents but it's nice enough.
Ted baker - Body wash -
This was ok it smelt nice but the bottle was so strange there was no give in the plastic of the bottle so it was a complete nightmare to get anything out of.
Nails
Nyc - Black lace -
I like this it's a nice formula but it's way past saving it's gone so gloopy.
Skincare
Superdrug - Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser -
I really liked this it was very gentle and didn't have a really heavy scent to it.
Makeup
Bourjois - Volume glamour ultra black mascara -
Another mascara I really like this one gave more length than volume so I liked this one for school.
Mua - Mega volume mascara -
Personally I didn't like this I didn't find it really did much, so I'm not a big fan.
Seventeen - BB cream in light -
This is another product I love its really nice the coverage is light to medium and it stays on really nicely!
So that's it all of my empties I hope you enjoyed this post.

German beauty!
Hallo!
(a little German there for you) Today I'm going to be showing you what I got in my exchange package from my lovely friend Theresa, I'm going to be doing little tiny reviews for everything so I hope you enjoy!
So first of we have the bebe relaxing care day and night cream. I'm really liking this I find it works best for my skin type as a night moisturizer as it is a little heavy in the morning for my oily skin. It also smells really nice.
Next up is the flormar mango hand cream. I've been carrying this around in my bag as it sinks in so quickly it's really nice and moisturizing so its fab for on the go.
Finally for random miscellaneous things is the Shawarzkopf Anti frizz lotion. I've been putting a pea sized amount of this in my hair when its wet and it's really helped to tame the frizz.
So first up for face is this beauty blender, this is from one of the German drugstores called DM I am really liking this so far although I do find I have to blend a little with my Real techniques buffing brush just to get a flawless finish. Next for face is the Catrice camouflage cream in 020 light beige, this is really nice and super creamy. Its also a pretty good colour match. Finally for face I have the Catrice defining blush in apropos apricot. This is such a pretty peach with gold shimmer it's also really subtle so it's great for school.
from left to right Catrice concealer and Catrice blush (apologies for the really gross cut on my arm!)
Next up I have eyes, first of is the Essence I love extreme volume mascara. This is amazing the brush is huge and it really helps build up volume. Next for eyes is the Essence stays no matter what liquid eyeliner this is really nice the brush is a little flimsy so if your not good with liquid eyeliner I wouldn't recommend it but if your pretty good at it i'd check it out. Next is the Essence colour arts eye base this feels really smooth and really helps keep your eyeshadow looking good. Finally for eyes I have the Essence quattro eyeshadow in 07 over the taupe. This is really nice as you can use it for a light day look or you can make it into a nice dark smoky look.
Finally for makeup I have lips the first thing I have Anatomicals never lose your cherry spf 8 lip balm, this smells amazing and for a liquid lip gloss type balm it moisturizes really well. The other thing I got for lips is the p2 Sheer glam lipstick in 090 sex and the city. This is a really sheer berry colour so again its great for school.
Last up in the box were 2 nail polishes the first is a top coat and its the p2 gel re fill. This is amazing it dries your nail polish so quickly and makes them really nice and shiny. The second is an essie nail polish in the shade aruba blue this is the most gorgeous metallic blue ever I love it.
So that's it if you would like to see full reviews on anything in this post let me know and I will put them on my To review list!
