Brand interviews #1 - TallyTiger

Hello lovelies.
Today I'm going to be starting a new series in which I will interview small fashion and jewelry companies and asking them a little bit about there business. So to kick of the series I have the lovely Natalie from Tally tiger!

Tally Tiger is an online fashion jewellery and accessories shop, run by 19-year-old Natalie Reekie from Edinburgh, Scotland

A fun fact: the name Tally Tiger was created by putting Natalie's nickname (Tally) and her pet rabbit's name (Tiger-lily) together, creating Tally Tiger!

Why did you start Tally Tiger?
I launched Tally Tiger in the spring of 2012 with the aim of doing a job that involves something I'm enthusiastic about - fashion accessories. I don't think many people can say they love what they do, but I'm lucky to say I'm one of them.

Where do you get inspiration for your jewellery from?
When choosing the pieces to sell on Tally Tiger, I like to look for pieces that stand out. Although we also sell small, everyday jewellery, we like to pride ourself on the fact that our customers can choose a piece of jewellery or an accessory that will really add something special to their outfits!

What's your favourite piece of jewellery that you are currently selling?
That's a really tough question because I choose our pieces myself and I have to say, I really do love them all! If I absolutely had to chose, my favourite would have to be our Bullet Necklace. It's simple enough to be worn daily, yet edgy enough to make a statement!

Does your collection express your personal style?
Because I choose the pieces for our shop personally, I think it's a given that a little bit of my own style creeps into it. However, we do like to pick items that will cater for all styles, not just my personal preferences. In saying that, I do own a lot of our pieces myself and wear them daily!

Sum up your collection in 5 words?
Edgy. Statement. Different. Girly. Bold.

So I would like to say a huge thank you to Natalie for doing this interview for me and I hope you check out her shop in the future!
