A whole lot of empties.

So I decided that a monthly empties was getting very boring as it was just the essentials so I though i'd save them up for a little while and hopefully show you something a little more interesting!

  Hair

Batiste - A hint of colour vibrant and red - This stuff is fab, I can't use normal batiste as it just leaves a white residue in my hair so this is perfect.

Garnier fructis - colour last shampoo - This was nice it smelt pretty good but it didn't really do anything to my hair.

Tresemme - colour protection shampoo - I really like this I find it keeps my red a little brighter and a little shinier.

DGJ - Berutti oil - I won this in a giveaway and I really liked it my hair felt in better condition and it also smelt fab.

Creightons - Deep moisture conditioner - This was less than a pound from home bargains and I quite liked it, it was nothing special but it made my hair feel nice and soft.

    Body

Garnier - Mineral invisi calm after shaving deodorant - There's not much to say this it smelt nice and did what it was meant to do.

The body shop - Raspberry body butter - I love the body butters from the body shop, this isn't one of my favourite scents but it's nice enough.

Ted baker - Body wash - This was ok it smelt nice but the bottle was so strange there was no give in the plastic of the bottle so it was a complete nightmare to get anything out of.

   Nails

Tesco - Nail polish remover - I think I've probably used about 3 of these during the time I've been collecting my empties. I really don't know what to say it's just a nail polish remover.

Nyc - Black lace - I like this it's a nice formula but it's way past saving it's gone so gloopy.

  Skincare

Superdrug - Cleanser and toner - If your a regular reader you will know I love this stuff, I find it really helps clear up my spots although it is very harsh so I'd avoid it if you have sensitive skin.

Superdrug - Vitamin E hot cloth cleanser - I really liked this it was very gentle and didn't have a really heavy scent to it.

  Makeup

Seventeen - Wild curls mascara - Again if your a regular reader you will know that this was for my favourite mascara for a good 3 or 4 months. I still really like it I just have ones I like more.

Bourjois - Volume glamour ultra black mascara - Another mascara I really like this one gave more length than volume so I liked this one for school.

Mua - Mega volume mascara - Personally I didn't like this I didn't find it really did much, so I'm not a big fan.

Seventeen - BB cream in light - This is another product I love its really nice the coverage is light to medium and it stays on really nicely!

So that's it all of my empties I hope you enjoyed this post.

German beauty!

Hallo! (a little German there for you) Today I'm going to be showing you what I got in my exchange package from my lovely friend Theresa, I'm going to be doing little tiny reviews for everything so I hope you enjoy!

So first of we have the bebe relaxing care day and night cream. I'm really liking this I find it works best for my skin type as a night moisturizer as it is a little heavy in the morning for my oily skin. It also smells really nice. Next up is the flormar mango hand cream. I've been carrying this around in my bag as it sinks in so quickly it's really nice and moisturizing so its fab for on the go. Finally for random miscellaneous things is the Shawarzkopf Anti frizz lotion. I've been putting a pea sized amount of this in my hair when its wet and it's really helped to tame the frizz.

So first up for face is this beauty blender, this is from one of the German drugstores called DM I am really liking this so far although I do find I have to blend a little with my Real techniques buffing brush just to get a flawless finish. Next for face is the Catrice camouflage cream in 020 light beige, this is really nice and super creamy. Its also a pretty good colour match. Finally for face I have the Catrice defining blush in apropos apricot. This is such a pretty peach with gold shimmer it's also really subtle so it's great for school.

from left to right Catrice concealer and Catrice blush (apologies for the really gross cut on my arm!)

Next up I have eyes, first of is the Essence I love extreme volume mascara. This is amazing the brush is huge and it really helps build up volume. Next for eyes is the Essence stays no matter what liquid eyeliner this is really nice the brush is a little flimsy so if your not good with liquid eyeliner I wouldn't recommend it but if your pretty good at it i'd check it out. Next is the Essence colour arts eye base this feels really smooth and really helps keep your eyeshadow looking good. Finally for eyes I have the Essence quattro eyeshadow in 07 over the taupe. This is really nice as you can use it for a light day look or you can make it into a nice dark smoky look.

Finally for makeup I have lips the first thing I have Anatomicals never lose your cherry spf 8 lip balm, this smells amazing and for a liquid lip gloss type balm it moisturizes really well. The other thing I got for lips is the p2 Sheer glam lipstick in 090 sex and the city. This is a really sheer berry colour so again its great for school.

Last up in the box were 2 nail polishes the first is a top coat and its the p2 gel re fill. This is amazing it dries your nail polish so quickly and makes them really nice and shiny. The second is an essie nail polish in the shade aruba blue this is the most gorgeous metallic blue ever I love it.

So that's it if you would like to see full reviews on anything in this post let me know and I will put them on my To review list!

Baking Beauties Tag

Hey lovelies, On wednesday the lovely Hayley from Water painted dreams Tagged me in her new tag. I love baking so this is just perfect for me!

1. What is the first thing you remember baking? I know my first baking memories were with my nana, she makes apples pies every autumn with the apples from our garden and a traditional Christmas cake every Christmas so it is more than likely to be one of those. I do vaguely remember standing on a chair at the kitchen table and mixing some currants into the Christmas cake mix.

 2. What was the last thing you baked? Bakewell tart, which is most definitely one of my favourite things to make (and to eat!!)

 3. Something you've always wanted to bake? I've always wanted to make a traditional spotted dick but I'm just not patient enough!

 4. Tell us about a time you baked something and it went ridiculously wrong. Meringues, it seems something so simple but I couldn't find the electric whisk so I whipped them by hand which would have been ok but my arm got tired so I popped them in the oven and hopped for the best and they came out. Resembling fried eggs and smelling disgusting! and then there was the tomato soup cupcakes I'm still having nightmares about them!

 5. Be honest, do you lick the spoon? Of course why waste it!!

 6. How often do you bake? About once every two weeks, sometimes more and sometimes less, Although I wish I had the time and the patience to do it more!

 7. What baking success are you most proud of? Last year I made my mums birthday cake in the shape of a box of nail polish with little fondant nail polish bottles, it was epic!

 8. Do you tidy up as you go along or leave one big mess until the end? It really depends what mood i'm in sometimes I do it as I go along but more often than not I leave it to the end while the goodies are in the oven/setting otherwise I end up sat on the floor in front of the oven like a crazy person.

 9. Do you use recipe books or get them online? I reach for my recipe books if I want inspiration but if I know exactly what I want to make I tend to google it.

10. Do you stick to the recipe or do you experiment a little? I experiment a lot and it usually goes pretty well I tend to just go oh this is in the cupboard I will stick it in.

11. Who are your favourite food bloggers? I don't really read food blogs but I love the sorted food youtube channel it's well worth a look.

 12. What is your favourite thing to bake? I love making biscuits because I just love decorating them. I also love making cupcakes as I love how diverse they can be!

So that's it I tag Nicola from Wishing on a blonde Alessandra from Cakes, cupcakes and cosmetics Katie from Beauty and the baker and Amy and Rachael from Crimes of a blonde
