Top Row - Maybelline Burgundy kiss - Selfie
2nd Row - Autumn lipsticks - OOTD - Revlon vixen and essence time for romance
3rd Row - MOTD - Haul - Purple toned eye shadows
Last Row - Dark lip - Maple holistics skincare - Maxfactor cobalt blue

I haven't been as active on Instagram this month as I usually am. With starting college last month I feel like I've had no time to breathe never mind to instagram. However I thought I'd still do my little roundup and hopefully I'll be more active throughout October.

Beauty ¦ September favourites

I absolutely love this time of the year and the minute September hit the bright pinks and oranges were out the window and I replaced them with much deeper berry hues. This is definitely reflected in this months favourites.

So let's start with the skincare item. I don't usually invest in high end skincare so when I won a giveaway including lots of skincare I was very excited. I've wanted to try the Alpha H Liquid gold forever and I'm glad to say it definitely lives up to the hype. I've been using it once every two days and I've found it's really improved the general texture of my skin. I have also found that it's reduced the amount of blemishes I've been getting.

Next up we have Nicole by OPI - Party bus I picked this up from TKmaxx so I'm not 100% sure if you can pick it up from stockists however I gave it a quick google and you can pick it up from Amazon and Ebay. It's a mixture of large and small chunks of silver glitter and I've literally worn it constantly all month.

So onto the makeup first off I have the Maxfactor Cream puff blush in Gorgeous berries I picked this up when these blushes first came out and I didn't use it at all for ages as they came out at the start of the summer however since we moved into September I've probably worn it at least half the days I've worn makeup this month. It's such a pretty shade and it leaves a really beautiful healthy glow on the cheeks.

For lips I've been wearing Mac Brick'o'la a lot. It's an amplified finish which is definitely my favourite finish from Mac. It's a mix of red and terracotta and it's a perfect dark but quite neutral lip which is perfect for everyday. I really don't think this gets as much hype as it should do and I'd highly recommend it to everyone!

Finally for this months favourites is Maybelline's Metallic pomegranate colour tattoo I love the colour tattoo's and you will know that if you are a regular reader. This shade is quite a neutral burgundy shade it has a lot of brown in it which I love as it means I can wear it everyday without feeling to overdone.

Foodie Friday ¦ Earlybird Taste box (and a free box code)

When I saw this snack box pop up on someone else's blog (I can't remember who's #badblogger) I was super excited and headed straight over to the website to order my free box. I love the idea of this box, it combines food, music, art and tea which I think is brilliant and a little bit more interesting than your average snack box.

So the box actually came with loads of stuff in the top we had a little booklet with all the information in, a booklet telling me all about the company and then a card with a discount code on for family and friends (and blog readers) to get their first box free.

So onto possibly the most important bit the snacks. In each box you receive five snacks (They suggest one for everyday of the working week) They are each in a little plastic bag with the name of the snack on them. The only thing I wish they did have was a description of what's in them on the front of the packet.

I'm going to be honest here I liked the snacks but in the back of my mind I was constantly comparing them to graze and I don't think they are quite a nice. Don't get me wrong they aren't unpleasant but I think Graze hits the ball out of the park when it comes to snack boxes.

The box also included two teabags which I thought where a really lovely addition to the box and something I really wish other snack boxes offered too. Overall I did really enjoy the taste box. If you'd like to get one for free go onto the website and enter the code Jaffa-2266 for your first box free.

Beauty ¦ Maple holistics skincare

When I was contacted by the lovely people over at maple holistics I was super excited to be offered some of their skincare to try. I've been loving skincare at the moment so I was very excited to give these a go!

The first product I received was the Ancient clay facial mask*, which is a mixture of three different types if clay. French green clay, Bentonite clay and Fullers earth. Each of these add different properties to the mask. The French green clay is meant remove impurities and stimulate blood flow. The Bentonite clay has oil absorbing properties and is said to remove acne inducing toxins and finally the Fullers earth helps to reduce acne scars, blemishes and blackheads.

This mask is on of the strangest masks I've tried. It's actually a powder which you mix with water to form a paste. I thought this was going to put me off using it however I was so impressed by the results I don't mind it despite the fact that it is a little bit of a pain. I've found that this mask has definitely cleared my skin a little and I've also found that it has reduced the amount of scaring on my face to.

Next up we have the Vitamin C anti aging serum* obviously I cannot comment on the anti aging properties but I have been really enjoying using this serum. It feels very hydrating on the skin but it's also very lightweight meaning it's perfect for using under makeup as well as at night. I've found that it has also added a little more radiance to my skin and reduced some of my scaring and redness. Overall I think if I had to pick a favourite product out of the three it would be this one.

The final product I received was the Pomegranate natural lip balm* So to start it off this smells absolutely amazing and it tastes pretty great too. The pomegranate scent isn't to synthetic like some lip balm scents can be. I actually really like the lip balm as well. I was a little dubious as since trying Nuxe Reve De Meil I haven't really got on with any other lip balm. This one isn't super hydrating but for day to day use it's perfect. It feels nice and light on the lips and lipstick applies well over it without being changed in terms of texture or finish.

You can purchase maple holistics products from their website, these products  where provide for review purposes however all opinions are my own.
