Five favourites - Foundation

Today I thought that I would start a little series on here, and I thought I would talk about five of my favourites from different categories. Sometimes it will be brands and sometimes it will be specific types of products. A little about my skin, I have very dry skin and I love a good glowy finish. However there are a couple of matte finishes as I wanted to do a nicely rounded collection of products that I really do love.

No7 Lift and Luminate foundation -
This is a product I picked up upon recommendation from Kathleen lights initially. Since then they have actually reformulated this product and I like the newer version even more.  It's just the most beautiful natural finish, luminous looking foundation. I honestly wish I knew about this product when I was in school as it is just the perfect everyday base.

Dior Forever skin glow -
Now this one isn't cheap, but it is really beautiful. If you're in the market for a more satin finish foundation this si the one for you. The only issue I have with this one is the shade featured in these pictures is the lightest one. It does match me when I am tanned however when I'm pale this is definitely a shade that I cannot pule off without the dark line of doom on my jawline.

Nars Radiant Longwear -
I think this is my favourite out of the bunch. This is definitely the most glowy out of the five I'm mentioning today. This is possibly my favourite foundation I've ever tried. Although it' beautiful and glowy it lasts really beautifully and deals perfectly well with a full eight hour shift when I'm at work. (which is in a pub so it gets a little hot sometimes)

Huda Faux Filter -
I honestly wasn't sure whether I was going to love this one however, I am honestly a little obsessed with it. It's a super high coverage matte foundation. The only thing with this is the fact that it is a highly scented product, for me I don't have any trouble with the scent. It doesn't break me out however I do know it does break some people out so beware of that. If you can deal with the scent however this sits really beautifully on the skin.

UOMA Beauty say what foundation -
This is another matte foundation, which I cannot quite believe I've mentioned two in this selection who even am I! This one still has great coverage, however it isn't quite as high coverage as the Huda. This one however doesn't have the scent to it so that is definitely a positive. Overall this one has a beautiful matte finish however isn't drying on the skin and doesn't sit in any dryness or lines.

  3. Great range of products! I have really dry skin too so I'm quite shocked to see one or two of these mentioned. That Dior shade looks so dark to be the lightest!! x
