The drugstore are on a roll with foundation releases at the moment. Today I thought I would go through all of the recent releases I've picked up and tell you how I feel.
Barry M - All night long full coverage foundation.
I really loved the stick version of this so I was excited when I saw they'd released a liquid. I have to admit this is a little too drying for my skin unless I go in with a super moisturiser and a moisturising primer on top of that. It does tend to collect around my nose a little but it does offer an incredibly high coverage. The range is quite small in terms of shades but it does cover a good range, I have the palest shade and that is more than pale enough for me.
Maybelline - Superstay full coverage foundation stick.
Another one where I loved the other products in the range so decided to give this one a go and I'm so glad I did. This has amazing coverage like it's liquid counterpart, even so it doesn't look heavy or cakey on my dry skin. The only thing I will say is that you really don't get a lot of product but a little does go a long way. The shade range isn't great and even though I have the lightest shade I can seem to get my hands on I still can only wear this when I have fake tan on.
Sleek - Lifeproof foundation.
This is another super full coverage product, and oh boy is this one full coverage. The first time I applied this I actually considered going out without concealer on - I didn't I'm not a mad woman. It does look a little teeny bit dry around my nose but as long as I prep the skin well it's okay. The shade range is pretty good and the palest fits my casper the ghost skin.
NYX - Can't stop, won't stop foundation.
I was very excited to give this one a go but I have to say I was disappointed. I just found it looked really dry even over a very hydrating primer. I'm going to give it another couple of go's and see if I can get it to work for me. The shade range is absolutely fantastic and for a change I was able to buy the second from lightest shade. I'd love to know if any of you have any tips for using this one with dry skin.
Maxfactor - Radiant lift foundation.
This is my favourite out of the bunch, it looks beautiful and radiant on the skin. For my drier skin I do tend to lean towards a more dewy looking foundation. This just looks so healthy on the skin and a medium coverage making it one I reach for on a daily basis. The shade range isn't great as with most max factor foundations which is super disappointing.
Revolution - Conceal and define foundation.
This one is everywhere at the moment, again this is one I've only tried once at the moment. Again this one looked super dewy and healthy on my skin. I've seen a few people have a few problems with this foundation as it's been too dewy or not good at dealing with oiler skins for them but I honestly love the way it looks on the skin! As a bonus this has a huge shade range too.
