The best primers for dry skin

If you are a regular reader you will know that I have the driest skin in the world. So today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite primers for my skin type. I didn't until after I'd taken these shots that these are on the higher end of things however I thought I would share them with you anyway as I think investing in a good primer can make or break your entire look.

Starting off with probably my favourite, we have the Pixi Rose Flash balm. This is a beautiful super thick moisturiser which can be used under foundation, but also as a mask if you layer it thickly onto the skin. This stuff is potentially the most hydrating product I've ever used. It creates a beautiful sticky base for under foundation and is the one out of the four products I wanted to share today.

The lightest product out of the four is the Smashbox Primerizer, this feels like a very lightweight serum on the skin. It sinks in so quickly and you can barely feel it on the skin. It isn't the most hydrating however when I'm having a slightly less dry skin day this is the one I reach for. This really does help with the longevity of my makeup.

Something I love for more of a glow is the Clarins Instant light radiance primer. It has an absolutely stunning pinky reflect which really helps to add more radiance to the skin. This does add some hydration to the skin however I do feel like I need to add a moisturiser or serum under it on my more dry skin days. This is one I'd really highly recommend for anyone who has dull skin and is looking to add some radiance to the skin.

Finally I had to mention the Stila one step moisturising primer. This stuff is just slightly less moisturising than the Pixi but is still one I reach for really often. This again leaves the skin really nice and tacky prepping it beautifully for foundation. I definitely don't need another moisturiser underneath it.

I would love to know what primers are your favourites.
