Highlighters for Snow White skin

So you might not have noticed but I am actually paler than casper the ghost meaning a lot of highlighter shades don't work on me. I often look like I have a really beautiful stripe of colour which lets face it is never a good luck. Today I thought I would show some of my favourites so if you are pale skinned you can see if any of these will work for you.

Benefit Watts up - This is one for if you want something a little bit easier to wear and that isn't so blinding. Watts up is a gorgeous champagne cream which is a nice as it gives us pale people the ability to wear a little bit of gold on the face. I find a lot of cream highlighters have a lot of glitter in them however this one hasn't which is something I love about it. I also find this one looks gorgeous as a base for a powder highlight.

Urban Decay Afterglow highlights in Fireball and sin - Fireball is the darkest shade I am going to mention today. It is a gorgeous pink with a gold shift, despite this looking super dark in the swatch it is now way this dark which makes me super glad I didn't going into store as I don't think I would have picked it up. The other shade is sin which is probably the best if you aren't a fan of a coloured highlight. Sin is very similar in colour to Watts up and looks incredible over the top of it. It also looks super intense and gorgeous by itself.

Watts up, Fireball, Sin, Dandelion, Charming pink, Snow rose.
Benefit Dandelion twinkle - I love dandelion blush so was very intrigued when this was released and super glad it actually matched my skin tone. This is a gorgeous pale pink shade. It looks incredibly natural on the cheeks and just adds the most stunning healthy glow to the skin. I think on many people this would actually be to light but for me it's perfect.

Laura Geller Charming pink - I feel like everyone talks about Gilded honey but on me I find it to be too dark on me. I love the formula however so I figured I would give another shade a go. Charming pink is a gorgeous pale pink shade, this one is definitely a more intense highlight than dandelion but it is a very similar shade.

NYX Snow rose - This is one of the duo chrome highlights from NYX, it is a beautiful duo chrome gold and pink shade. In the sun this one reflects a peach pink but as you can see in the swatch it looks super gold on camera. I am normally not a fan of drugstore highlights as I find they often breakdown and just leave you with a strip of glitter on the face which is not what I want.

So that's it for today I would love to know what your favourite highlights are and what skin tone you have!

  1. Hands down the Sleek highlight from the Face Form Palette in Fair! It's the best I have ever used and literally the only one I use now. (P.s I also have an extreme Caspar the Ghost - like complexion too, haha). I've tried Watts Up but didn't love it as I think I'm to addicted to madly intense highlighter! <3

  4. I don't have snow white skin obviously but I actually love a lot of these highlights too! NYX in Ice is a really good one and it's sold in a single pan so is only about £3.50 I believe. A great highlight, I love Watt's Up, thank you for sharing x

  5. Ah this is such a handy post as I find it hard to shop for highlighters too! I love the look of Dandelion Twinkle as I love Dandelion anyway! Also really recommend Becca Moonstone for pale skin, it's pricey but my absolute favourite!
