Whats in my travel makeup bag!

Hello lovelies, So tomorrow I'm going on holiday to Newcastle for a week. So I wont be blogging or chatting on twitter for the week. Anyway on with the post today I'm going to talk to you about what makeup I'm taking.

 Enjoy!

I will start with the large makeup bag. It's from ted baker and it is from the butterfly fly by collection from boots.

For my face I have the 17 bb cream, Rimmel stay matte powder, Collection lasting perfection concealer and Dainty doll blush in my girl.

For my eyes I have my Urban decay naked basics which I will also be using for my brows, Collection extreme 24hr felt tip liner (which im trying to finish) Mua trio in innocence, Maybelline colour tattoo on and on bronze, Mua clear mascara, Rimmel scandal eyes khol pencil in black, 17 wild curls and Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner in black chrome.

Finally makeup wise I have seventeen beehive, Mua nectar, Mua power pout in justify, Collection cream puff Fairycake, Cherry carmex and a mini Benetint.

Finally I have a little bag of shower stuff. In here is the Percy and reed colour and shine shampoo, Dgj organics Berutti oil, a muslim cloth, Mandara spa amber heavan body cream and shower gel and Sanctuary body scrub. and that's it, some of you probably think I've gone a little crazy but you know. Mua lipstick - Shade 16 Nectar.

Hello lovelies, today I'm going to be reviewing a amazing bargain for you. I present to you Mua Nectar!

This may sound crazy but i'd describe this as a bright pastel orange. The formula is semi matte and it can cling to dry patches if your lips aren't moisturized enough. I like to apply this over a layer of carmex.

As you can see on the lip swatch above this lipstick can fall into the fine lines and creases of the lips. In terms of wear I find this wears for about 2 hours if you don't eat or drink. This can't stand the wear of eating and leaves you with a attractive orange line around your lips. For £1 i've really found nothing I dislike about it, it was defiantly better than I expected. In conclusion I love this and the colour is beautiful. I really want to try more shades! If anyone has any recommendations I would love for you to leave them in the comments.

 Till next time

 Step 1...

Put the icing sugar, butter, egg yolk and vanilla extract into a bowl a mix together until well combined.

Fold in the flour until the mix starts to clump together then use your hand to bring it together into a ball.

Step 3...

Roll out the dough on a well floured surface and cut into shapes using your cookie cutters.

 Step 4...

Bake for 10 - 15 mins on 190 or gas mark 5. Hopefully they should look a little like the ones below!

Step 5...

Leave the cookies to cool for about a hour and then decorate. Here's how I decorated mine...

Whats in ....'s makeup bag. Ellen from a little bit unique

Hello lovelies, today I have a guest post from the lovely ellen from A little bit unique so I'll here's what Ellen had to say about her makeup bag. Hi everyone! I'm Ellen from A little bit Unique and Cole kindly offered me a guest spot on her blog to let you all have a sneak peek into my make up bag.

I've had this make up bag for years (so it's all battered and bruised, but I love it)! It's the perfect size to fit in my handbag and hold my on the go essentials. I mix up my make up bag on a daily or weekly basis with the products I used in the morning. These are my current go to products that have made their way from my make up storage to my make up bag.

I'm a massive Max Factor foundation fan and the smooth effect one is my current favourite. It applies like a dream and lasts all day without being sticky or cakey. I love applying it with the buffing brush from real techniques. I also have been loving the much talked about collection lasing perfection concealer, which I use on any blemishes and then under eyes as well.

Mascara wise, I always use the max factor false lash effect in black, but I also like to use another mascara along side it, for added length and volume; the avon supershock max is great for volume!

This Avon blush is perfect for daytime as it's quite a light, subtle colour when applied and I use it alongside my face sleek contour kit in light to add definition and life to my face. My lipstick changes daily, depending on which I pick from my lipstick holder in the morning. The Kate Moss for Rimmel lipsticks are brilliant; they're long lasting and highly pigmented.

I was always an eye liner pencil girl until recently, when I discovered gel eyeliners. They are a lot more long lasting, don't smudge as easily and are more natural. So, they are just the products I've been carrying around recently! Oh, you may have noticed I haven't included brushes, as I have a separate pouch where I keep them, so when I throw them in my handbag they don't get dirty.

I'd love to know what you've been loving and wanted to say a massive thanks to Cole for letting me highjack her blog for a post. She's a really lovely girl and I've loved her blog since the start! Ellen x

Big thank you to Ellen for guest posting for me. I'm looking for more bloggers to guest post for me, if your interested please drop me an email coleoftheball@gmail.com or tweet me @coleoftheball

Cole cooks - chorizo stuffed chicken with roasted vegetables.

Hello lovelies,Today i'm going to be sharing a recipe with you. This is one of my favourite meals ever so I hope you enjoy reading this post.

Serves 4

You will need...
4 Chicken breasts
1/2 Ring chorizo
4 Medium sweet potatoes
2-3 Courgettes
6 Large mushrooms
2 tbsps Vegetable oil
Salt and pepper
Chilli grinder (mines from tesco you can also pick them up in asda and morrisons)

First of peel and chop the potatoes into evenly sliced pieces and boil for about 10-15 mins.

Chop up the courgettes into small circles and pop into a baking tray with the oil and some salt and pepper. Then do the same with the mushrooms. Then when the potatoes are boiled pop them in the tray with the other vegetables.

Add a little more oil and pop into the oven for about an hour.

Then slice the chicken through the middle creating a pocket to pop the chorizo into. Add a little oil on top of the breasts then coat with the chilli grinder and salt and pepper. Cook for 35-40 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you try this recipe out.

Top 3 spring/summer blushes.

Hello lovelies,So that’s it we've had 2 days of proper summer here in the UK and it's back to raining again. (sigh) These past couple of weeks i’ve been trying to inject a little colour into my everyday makeup with blush and here are my top 3.

FashionistA - Rose thrill Rimmel – Santa rose Dainty doll – My girl

From the top Rose thrill Santa rose My girl

FashionistA Rose thrill
This is one bright blush; it looks quite terrifying in the pan and doesn’t look that great swatched but when blended man is it beautiful. It gives a super natural flush. Although you have to use so little and blend really well or you look like a clown.
Rimmel Santa rose This blush is so hyped its one of those that most beauty bloggers/readers/beauty youtubers own. It’s such a pretty peach and looks fantastic on paler complexions. This isn’t 100% matte but the amount of shimmer is barely visible. This the most natural of the 3 and is perfect for chucking on as it doesn’t really matter if you don’t blend it to well or its not applied perfectly.
Dainty doll My girl Well if you read/watch beauty people you’ve probably heard about these baby’s being sold cheap on sites such as fragrance direct and amazon. This is the baby pink from the range. I would describe this as sheeny rather than shimmery. The way it catches the sunlight is just so beautiful. I’ve tried this on people with darker skins and it looks just as amazing.

Swatches blended

I hope you enjoyed this post

Used and abused ~ April

Hello lovelies,
here's my April empties! Enjoy

Soap and glory sugar crush Body butter and Sugar scrub

Oh my I love both of these so much and they've lasted since my birthday to so they've done pretty well.

Repurchase ~ Probably but not to soon in the future.

So many people swear by this but I really didn't see any improvement in my skin at all. Another think that puts me of it is the bottles are tiny, mine only lasted just over two weeks.

Repurchase ~ No most defiantly not. I'll stick to my superdrug tea tree blemish toner thing (makes me sound like such a great blogger)

 L'Oreal elvive colour protect shampoo.
I grabbed this from the pound shop and I don't think its even sold anymore. It's ok I'm not bothered about shampoo as long as it cleans my hair I'm really not bothered.
Repurchase ~ No I think its been discontinued.
This is my favourite hair day in the world. It barely fades and leaves my hair so bright. I just love it so much I just cant put it into words.
Repurchase ~ Always. I think if my hair is red it will be this baby!

Primark reed diffuser ~ Raspberry and papaya.

I really like primark reed diffusers. They smell lovely and this one was no exception. This smelt lovely and sweet.

Repurchase ~ Maybe I'd like to try more scents.

Essence Studio nails anti split base coat

I liked this but it seemed to go gloopy very quickly. It was nice but I didn't find it did anything amazing for my nails.

Repurchase ~ Maybe if I could get it easily. Essence isn't sold in the uk I got this when I went on a school trip to Germany.

Essence stay all day concealer ~ 01 soft beige

I really like this it really covered my under eye circles well and was a really good colour for me.

Repurchase ~ If I could get it yes.

Avon super magnify and astonishing lengths mascaras (I cant find these on the avon website)

These were ok nothing amazing but not to bad. I liked astonishing lengths a little bit more as the super magnify brush was super thin.

Repurchase ~ No I've got plenty of mascaras I like better.

So that's it for another month.
